Geoff Maas, GIS Manager

Geoff joined MCEA in February 2007 after 12 years in private consulting and public practice in the fields of urban planning, GIS and cartography. His prior experience includes work in the states of Arizona, Louisiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

At MCEA, he performs spatial analysis, research, mapping and information design to support the work of the legal staff and scientists to better understand Minnesota's natural and built environment, and support its long-term quality, stewardship and protection.

Geoff holds a Bacherlor of Arts in Geography from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota. He has his Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) credential from the GIS Certification Institute.
