Sources of Water Pollution

Minnesota’s lakes and rivers have been contaminated by various sources spread throughout the state. These sources of pollution include livestock production facilities, farm field runoff, agricultural drainage tile, inadequate septic systems, urban runoff and sewage treatment plants.
