MCEA statement on the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good
We are sickened by the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis yesterday, and our hearts are with her family and loved ones.
We echo Mayor Frey, Minneapolis city council members, and Governor Walz's demands for ICE to leave our state immediately.
We join the calls for a thorough and transparent investigation into this incident. The Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy’s mission is rooted in justice and the law. We come to this work with the perspective that justice demands accountability, and that facts cannot be swept away by denial.
