Minnesota still gets to decide how and when our minerals are mined. There’s a lot of stuff happening at the federal level, some of it is very concerning, and we should be concerned. And we should respond, and we should respond collectively … So you may feel powerless in the moment, but you are not powerless. Because you have a voice when it comes to your state legislator, when it comes to our state agencies, to our governor. All of these folks are the ones making the decisions, and we still get to decide. So making sure that we cut through the fear and bluster of the moment, and are clear about controlling our own destiny and that we assert that and take control of it is an important and powerful thing to remember in this moment," MCEA CEO Kathryn Hoffman.
